ANDAGUA VOLCANOES VALLEY TOUR TREK AND COLCA CANYON 3 DAYS

3 days / 2 nights

OVERVIEW

This tour is specially designed for those who want to experience unique natural beauty amidst a lunar landscape, like the Valley of the Volcanoes. We descend by van from 4,200 meters above sea level to 1,800 meters above sea level, into the heart of one of the deepest canyons in the world: the Colca Canyon.

Here in the Volcanoes valley, you will find more than 80 dwarf volcanoes; the tallest, Pucamauras, reaches 350 meters.

During the visit, you can touch dried lava and remnants of eruptions from the Quaternary period. You can also admire giant cacti.

You will visit one of the largest freshwater springs in the world, home to the pink river otter.

We will also witness the flight of the condor in the Colca Canyon and explore the Colca Valley and Andagua Geological Park.

The advantage of this tour is that while most tours to the Colca Canyon reach an altitude of 4,850 meters above sea level on the first day, this tour only reaches 4,200 meters above sea level.

On the third day, we can end the tour in the city of Arequipa or in the city of Puno (extra charge).

During the three days, we will take short hikes wherever you like.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy, the only factor increasing the difficulty is the altitude.
DURATION: 3 days
