We pick you up from from your hotel in Arequipaat 6 am, and we will head to the town of Chivay 3600 m. (4 hours by car) We pass for the famous lockout (Patapampa) situated at 4850 m.h.s.l. Then we will visit the Colca Valley the route called “Right hand side” by bike visiting the colonial villages, normally unvisited on the traditional routes such as: Coporaque 3575 m.(the main square and the front Church), the village of Ichupampa 3400 m. and the village of Lari 3330 m, whose church is considered the most important in the Colca Valley Then we cross to “left hand side” to visit tourist places such as the lookout point of Antahuilque, the lookout point of Condor Cross 3700 m. In condor cross we will apreciate how condor´s come back to their nests,also we visit the lookout point of Tapay 3600 m. and we will arrive at the town of Cabanaconde where we will have dinner and spend the night.

The distance by bike is 45 kilometers.

This day we can add to the program a downhill from lockout of Patapampa 4850 m. to chivay village 3600 m.h.s.l. in 1-2 hours.

After breakfast, we will visit condor cross to see the condor´s flight, then we drive to start the descent by bike inside the Colca Canyon, and then we will trek to visit the thermal baths in the Canyon, with the possibility to fish. . Dinner and we will spend the night here.

At 5:30 am after Breakfast,we drive 3 hours to Huambo village (3200m) and we will see some nice farmers living from the agriculture, spectacular views of this dry and deepest area of this canyon. Continue travel in our 4x4 we will reach the highest point (4400m) of this day where is a perfect lookout of Ampato Volcanoes, driving around this volcano we will in the middle of two small Volcanoes of Qerqe plain. From here is possible to ride our MT bike all the way down from the highlands descending 2800m at 40km. After 3 hours on our bikes we will be in EL PEDREGAL, from here we will take our 4DW and drive into the Pan-American Highway to Arequipa. At 6 pm we arrive to Arequipa.

On this mountain biking tour is a combination between the colca valley the colca canyon and mocurca lake, we descen by bike from 4600 m. (mocurca lake) to 2000 m. colca canyon ( colca river) .

We spend the night in Piracha pampa 3800 m. h.s.l , this place is a natural viewpoint of the colca canyon, night in tents.

This day we can change the program and to do a downhill from lockout of Patapampa 4850 m. to chivay village 3600 m.h.s.l. And then continue to Cabanaconde village. And also we can do a short part by bike of the Colca valley.

The distance of biking is 45 kilometers

two hours by car to the mocurca lake 4600 m. here we explore the mocurca Lake and la pampa Condori, on this lake we can find thousend of flamingos and other andean birds ( between september to febreary) in front of this lake we have the spectaculary view of the Ampato mountain 6318 m. where was discovered the Juanita mummy. This is a really Andean place without tourist. Here you can see part of volcanoes range of Peru (volcan Ampato-volcan Sabancaya-Volcan Walcawalca).

Then we start our biking tour- downhill to the depeest canyon in the world colca canyon in the last expetion 2008 with the polish expedtion was 4100 m. deep.

Then one our trek from the bottom of the colca canyon to Llahuar 2200 m. on this place we enjoing the natural hot spring we pass the night in typical houses or in tents.

We back to the car, one hour trek and we continue by car to the condor cross , we visit the condor cross, we arrive to chivay village ,lunch and we back to Arequipa , if you like you can do 2 - 3 hours bike on the route in the national reserve of salinas and aguada blanca from 4600 to 4200 m.

This mountain bikingtour is not for expert, the difficult is moderate. but remeber that the 4x4 will be with you all time.

Or to do an interesting trek from the cure view point to the Mirador of the condor cross: in the afternoon without tourist, (45 min. trek). On this trek there are two excellent view point of the Colca canyon.

And we will arrive at the town of Cabanaconde where we will have dinner and spend the night.

This day we can change the program and to do a downhill from lockout of Patapampa 4850 m. to chivay village 3600 m.h.s.l. ( asphalted with tourists car or local bus on the route) And then continue to Cabanaconde village. And also we can do a short part of the Colca valley mountain bike.

Yes, 1300 m. down to the Colca canyon to the bottom of the Colca canyon

From Cabanaconde   village (3300 m.) to the back of the Canyon (2000 m.) Then we back by our 4x4 to Cabanaconde village we lunch in Cabanaconde.  And we back to Arequipa city, we arrive to Arequipa at 7 pm.

Distance by bike: 25 kilometers.

Meals include: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We will leave from the City of Arequipa at approximately 5.30 am to travel duration of 6 hours to the Colca Canyon when we will arrive in the town of Cabanaconde.

We will have lunch then begin our descent by bike from Cabanaconde (3287 meters) until the Colca River situated at 2000 meters of altitude.

This is a downhill of 1200 meters in to the entrails of the Colca Canyon in 2-3 hours by bike.

We will use a new route to arrive at the Colca River, this descent is very quick and we can travel by bike at 35 km per hour.

After descending to the Colca Canyon until the Colca River we will stop the bikes and continue along the trail for an hour and a half trek until the campsite which is called Llahuar.  

Here you can enjoy the thermal hot springs. Here we sleep in typical houses.

After breakfast we will travel along the trail for approximately 6 hours trek until we arrive at the Oasis 2200 m.h.s.l.

In the afternoon we can enjoy the nature and the thermal hot pools. We sleep here in typical houses.

The temperature in the Oasis is 33 degrees centigrade during the day and at night it is as low as 5 degrees centigrade.

At 4.00am we will walk to the town of Cabanaconde 3300 m.h.s.l. Duration of 3 hours trek.

We will have breakfast in the town of Cabanaconde.

Then we will travel by van for 25 minutes. Until the Condor Cross, to observe the condors in flight, then we will take the bus to the thermal baths in the town of Chivay.

We will arrive in the City of Arequipa between 5-6pm and you will be transferred to you hotel.

The time and distance of the biking tour depend on the physical conditions of each participant, the car 4x4 will be all time behind the bikes.

The Misti Volcano is known for being a mountain where one finds a lot of ash and sand.
The 4x4 car will take us to 3300 meters and from there we will start out descent by bike until the City of Arequipa (2325 meters).

1. This is a descent of approximately 1000 meters.
2. The duration of the descent by bike is 2 hours and a half.

Difficulty               : Moderate

To be able to do this descent it is recommended to have some experience in this sport.

We will leave in a 4x4 truck from the City of Arequipa (2325 meters) until we arrive at 4600 meters, which takes 2 hours and a half.

From here (4600 m.) we will start our descent to the City of Arequipa 2300 m.

This is a descent of 2275 meters in 3 hours.

We will have the support of the van for the whole trip.

Difficulty         : Easy

This route is less demanding that the descent from the snow-capped Chachani Mountain.

You will travel by van from the City of Arequipa (2325 meters) until the traditional town of Pocsi (3050 meters), in one hour and a half.

During the duration of the trip you will be accompanied by a 4x4 car

We will begin our descent from the village  of Pocsi until we arrive at the traditional village of Mollebaya, later we will continue until the traditional village of Characato; then on till we arrive at the traditional village of Sabandia here we will visit the Sabandia mill.

We will continue with the trip to visit  la mansión del fundador.

We will continue along the trail to return to the City of Arequipa.

This route by bike will take duration of 4 hours and the trip is approximately 40 km.

We will be descending by bike between the village of Pocsi (3050 m) to Characato village (2400 m) the rest of the trip is flat.

We will have the support of the van for the whole duration of the trip
